The Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition hosts a variety of indoor and outdoor events, including the Youth Fair on March 17 through April 10. It’s the largest fair in Florida and includes more than 90 carnival rides, livestock and agricultural competitions, live concerts and more. Tickets start at $10.
The top tennis players in the world compete at the Miami Open presented by Itaú tennis tournament each year at the Crandon Park Tennis Center on Key Biscayne. This year multi-platinum recording artists Duran Duran will perform at the Miami Open on the evening of Friday, April 1, following the men’s semifinal matches. Ticket prices vary.
Each spring, O, Miami attempts to deliver a poem to every single person in Miami-Dade County. Sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the festival features more than 40 events and 20 projects throughout the city.
Cruise down the Miami River on free boat rides, enjoy live music performances and learn more about the Lummas Park Historic District at the Miami Riverday Festival. Event admission is free.
Test your physical fitness at the South Beach Triathlon. Athletes will compete by running, swimming and biking along Miami’s gorgeous shoreline.
At the Miami Dance Festival hosted by the Momentum Dance Company, watch inspiring performances at venues throughout Miami and celebrate the art of movement and dance. Ticket prices vary.
Talented riders and their horses will showcase their jumping skills right on the sands of South Beach for the Longlines Global Champions Tour. Visitors will have free access to seating around the arena on a first come, first serve basis.
Featuring a vibrant parade with more than 80,000 participants, the Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival is a weekend full of non-stop celebration. Highlights include the High Heel Race, Gay Pride Parade, Miami Pride Cruise and parties at area nightclubs. Ticket prices vary depending on the event.
What better place for rum connoisseurs to unite, then in Miami? The Miami Rum Renaissance Festival will feature rums from the Caribbean and all over the region. Tickets start at $75.
Get your heart pumping for a good cause at the annual Aids Walk Miami. Taking place on Miami Beach, the event is the city’s largest HIV/AIDS awareness fundraiser.
Taking strides for better health at the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run. Unlike most races of it’s kind that occur in the early morning, this 5k run/walk happens after work in Downtown at Bayfront Park.
Groove to the smooth sounds of live jazz at the Miami International Jazz Festival, presented by The City of Miami and the Miami Dade Department of Cultural Affairs. Tickets start at $20.
