Metamorphosis Is A Magnificent Installation At Design Miami 2019
Metamorphosis is an installation that was created between the historic champagne house Maison Perrier-Jouët, with Milan-based designer Andrea Mancuso of Analogia Project. Being displayed Design Miami 2019, Miami Design Agenda is about to unveil the details of this amazing showcase. Scroll down to observe the craftsmanship behind the Metamorphosis project.
Until December 8th, Design Miami 2019 is presenting the most amazing and eccentric exhibitions, and Metamorphosis is definitely one of them. This exhibition stands as a vibrant, otherworldly ceramic-clad installation, where Perrier-Jouët expands its dialogue between nature, champagne, and design to offer a new artistic tasting ritual.
Metamorphosis includes a collection of six glasses and a champagne bowl designed by Mancuso, crafted using the highly demanding practice of lost-wax casting and theatrically presented across six alcoves. The influence behind this exhibition sits on the characteristics of the Art Nouveau Movement.
This project is the interpretation of the house’s vineyards and cellars. Created from 11,000 ceramic pieces, it resembles the bottles maturing in the cellars, while the palette forms an image of the Perrier-Jouët vineyard during the harvest. the installation was realized alongside Italian ceramicists, Alessio Sarri and Nuevoforme.
According to Perrier-Jouët’s style director, Axelle De Buffévent, he says that “loyal to the ethos of art nouveau, Mancuso’s work for the house unites traditional craftsmanship with modern technology and is infused with Maison perrier-jouët’s vision of reinvented nature.’
Don’t lose the opportunity to discover the Metamorphosis crafted installation and enjoy its surroundings within the context of Design Miami 2019!
