The upcoming fair Design Miami 2016 is already making a buzz. It will be made World’s Largest 3D Printed Structured. The SHoP architects will produce am enormous 3D printed installation and public plaza at the Entrance.
“Flotsam & Jetsam”, structure was recently awarded the Panerai Design Miami Visionary Award, recognizing those who have made important contributions to the field of design. SHoP is being awarded for “its bold, evocative architecture, philanthropic initiatives, sustainable development, and innovative practices/entrepreneurship,” a Design Miami statement explains.
The installation, titled blends Miami’s playful spirit with its emergence as a capital of creative innovation.The entrance to Design Miami and Art Basel in a Miami Beach Convention Center parking lot each year, has become one of the most expected art installations

For Shop Architects this project embodies the city’s spirit, by a representing Miami’s iconic landscape, beach, while the structure itself is an allusion of the city’s emerging role as a center for creative visioning and technological discovery.
In conclusion this project wants to show that Miami is a place of both work and play.
