Karl Lagerfeld’s Original Designs Will Be Available For Auction

Karl Lagerfeld was an absolute legend when it comes to fashion design. Today, Miami Design Agenda lets you in on an auction that will take place at Palm Beach Modern Auctions. There will be exhibited original Karl Lagerfeld designs from the 1960’s, made for the fashion brand Tiziani.

Karl Lagerfeld, the late fashion designer, has impressed everyone throughout the years, with his creative designs and fashion breakthroughs. He finished his career as a creative director in Chanel, where was an iconic figure, that demonstrated the very best of fashion design. But on the early days, Karl Lagerfeld was a young design freelancer in Rome, looking to start his journey on the fashion industry.

It was Evans Richards, the American designer that founded the Tiziani fashion brand in 1963, that that hired Karl Lagerfeld. They worked very close, since the very beginning, where Karl demonstrated his priceless value by establishing clients such as Elizabeth Taylor, Principessa Borghese and many other public figures.

This amazing backstory contributed to Karl Lagerfeld‘s great an iconic journey throughout the years. He had the privilege to work with amazing brands such as Charles Jourdan, Chloé, Krizia, Valentino and finally Fendi in 1967, which has the relationship of his lifetime. His work will be remembered for eternity, and it’s a timeless inspiration for the design industry, specially fashion.

To pay a last homage to Karl Lagerfeld, there’s an amazing collection of the early design sketches that will be up for auction, at Palm Beach Modern Auctions, on April 18th. These drawings sit on hand-drawn sketches from the late fashion designer, in the early 60’s, that he produced for the Italian fashion house Tiziani.

These Karl Lagerfeld drawings were in the possession of the Tiziani archives, that were saved throughout the years. So, on April 18th, you’ll get to observe all the amazing drawings, from the late designer’s early days. This auction is the ultimate homage to the iconic artist that is Karl Lagerfeld.
