Karl Lagerfeld’s impact in interior design in Miami – The late fashion designer had the opportunity to impact interior design as well before his passing on the 19th of February. To celebrate his remarkable work, we look forward to one of his creations in Miami.
He was the creative designer for the Estates at Acqualina in October 2019. The $1.6 billion Miami project promises to develop the World’s finest residences. The Estates of Acqualina will be opening in 2020.
For Lagerfeld, Miami was the perfect place to develop this interior design project because he liked “the sun, the light, the climate”. In what was his biggest over-scaled project, Lagerfeld was inspired by all the things he wanted to create for himself. Not being able to build more houses for him, he took his ideas to Miami.
His interior design style is luxurious and grand, being mostly around silvery and being inspired by “the mood of the moment”.
Before Acqualina, Lagerfeld completed a Toronto condo where every apartment was sold. The $1.6 billion residential complex in the Sunny Isles Beach area of Miami was his first and last complex in the United States.
Set to be outfitted with custom furnishings created by the mastermind himself, Estates of Acqualina will be a celebration of Karl Lagerfeld’s work in interior design.
