Kanye West just showed up at Art Basel in Switzerland yesterday around midnight for an “impromptu preview” of his new album Yeezus. Kanye West has always been an art/design lover along with his buddy Pharrell Williams. Pharrell was one of the guests for Design Miami’s “Design Talks” last year. He was in the middle of his interview when Kanye West showed up by surprise. They were both at Art Basel enjoying the exhibitions later on that day.
He stated in an interview for The New York Times that one of the big influences for his last album was architect Le Corbusier. Le Corbusier was a swiss architect/designer/painter known for being one of the pioneers of the so called “modern architecture”.
Some of his work is being displayed at Art Basel by Gallerie Patrick Seguin, a french gallerie based in Paris. They opened the 300 square meter gallery in 1989 and have been displaying prestigious French artists ever since. They have a big reputation and have collaborated with some of the top museums and art shows in the World.
