Galleries You Must Visit at Art Basel Miami Beach

Galleries You Must Visit at Art Basel Miami Beach – Art Basel Miami is right around the corner. This event will happen alongside Design Miami/ between December 6-9 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Over 200 of the world’s leading international Modern and contemporary art galleries will display artworks by over 4,000 artists, either emerging or well-known artists, including all kinds of art – paintings, sculptures, installations, you name it. In anticipation of Art Basel, we are here to show you some of our top picks of galleries you should see in this fair if you’re able to attend it.

Dan Galeria – São Paulo, Brazil (See more here)

This gallery was founded in 1972 by Peter and Gláucia Cohn, with the purpose to develop a Brazilian Art and its market. However, in 1985, Flavio Cohn joined the gallery’s team and created the Department of Contemporary Art, with the goal of opening space for showing Brazilian and international contemporary artists.

Fondation Beyeler – Riehen, Switzerland (See more here)

With more than 300 masterpieces, this gallery’s main focus is on Classic Modernism. Artists like Monet, Cézanne, Matisse or Warhol are in this gallery. Fondation Beyeler is the most-visited art museum in Switzerland and always wants to show exceptional art, picturesque nature and fascinating architecture.

Goodman Gallery – Johannesburg and Cape Town (See more here)

Goodman Gallery was founded in 1966 and has helped, since then, to shape contemporary South African art. The gallery plays an important role in presenting art that enriches international dialogue around colonial legacies and contemporary geopolitics.

Carlos/Ishikawa – London (See more here)

The gallery focuses on international artists with often wide-ranging, multi-disciplinary and experimental practices that show the artists’ perspectives on structural socio-cultural and political questions.

kurimanzutto – Mexico City, Mexico / New York (See more here)

Founded in 1999 by José Kuri, Mónica Manzutto and a group of thirteen artists, the project focuses on establishing strong connections to artists, institutions and art professionals and on concentrating the project’s history, energy, and information.

Andrew Kreps Gallery – New York (See more here)

With the goal of showing emerging American and international artists, this famous gallery participates in art fairs all around the world and its artists often exhibit their works in famous museums like MoMA, Tate Gallery, Frankfurter Kunstverein or exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale.
