Faena Bazaar: A New Marketplace in Miami Beach – Just in the beginning of the Miami Art Week, including events such as Art Basel, Design Miami/ or ICFF South Florida, Faena Bazaar finally opened to the public on December 2. The inspiration behind it? The souk, a marketplace where artisans, shoppers, and thinkers alike can engage in conversation as much as commerce.
Faena Bazaar is a renovation of the historic Atlantic Beach Hotel that was built in 1939 and designed by prominent Miami Beach architect Roy France, whose work includes the Saxony and Versailles, both part of Faena District. First commissioned in 2011 and completed in 2016, Faena Bazaar worked alongside the architecture firm founded by Rem Koolhaas, OMA, on the design of the brand-new retail that will not only have stores from emerging designers like C. Bonz and Adriana Iglesias but also art, rotating pop-ups, and most importantly, programming available to the public. Guests will also delight in finds exclusive to the Faena brand such as couture collections, custom wallpaper prints and products, and Faena red lipstick.

The first floor will feature an art gallery with rotating exhibitions, while the second and third floors are home to retail shops, brought in by luxury fashion retailer Maris Collective. Finally, the fourth floor is a modern space with a terrace. You can tell that the whole space has an open layout to encourage seamless wandering by the visitors.
Faena Bazaar wants to offer to both residents and travelers the next generation shopping experience, whether they are searching just for a piece of clothing or for a vintage piece. If you’re in the area, make sure to pay them a visit and enjoy this brand-new attraction in Miami!
