Design Miami 2019 is almost here, to be represented as a global forum for design. Each year they focus on bringing the most prestigious collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from all over the world. Happening simultaneously as the Art Basel Fair in Miami, this event celebrates all things design, celebrating the excellence around these subjects during 2019. Meet Design Miami 2019, a prestigious event that stands an essential point in the development of the design. Happening between December 3rd-8th, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, it is located at the epicenter of every design event, since it’s a short walk from the Art Basel in Miami Beach. This exciting event attracts many types of attendees, from influential collectors, designers, curators, to critics.

During these days, it will be displayed many of the world’s top galleries, that will display high-quality exhibitions within the twentieth and twenty-first-century furniture, lighting, and objects d’art. During the showcasing of these unique exhibitions, it is possible to create an incredible ambiance where commercial opportunities and incredible collaborations can happen between designers and design institutions.
At Design Miami 2019 there are also several panels and lectures with luminaries from the worlds of design, architecture, art and fashion, and unique commissions from the world’s top emerging and established designers and architects. There is also the Design Talks program that presents the design world’s most compelling current topics, bringing together the creatives, collectors, and critics actively influencing design discourse and production.
Design Miami 2019 also provides a special exhibition platform that invites designers, curators, innovators, and gallerists to present cabinets of curiosity throughout the fair. Curio is the name of this extraordinary platform, that focuses on the chronology of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It will be presented surprising installations of scientific and technological research alongside handcraft and creative production, perfectly embodying the concept of this design fair.
The Design Miami/ Visionary Award celebrates those who have significantly contributed to the field of design, such as designers, curators, architects, and luminaries who influence and are engaged in design in the broadest sense.
