Design Miami 2019 is officially here and with it, Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades is stating its presence. This is a series that’s still ongoing after seven years of giving a chance to many bespoke designers to show their talent and have a piece of their own in this colourful design collection. The new piece of the upcoming collection set to be unveiled at Design Miami has been revealed. Miami Design Agenda is about to introduce you to the Swell wave shelf!
For this latest exhibit in the Objets Nomades elements, designer Andrew Kudless created a three-tier shelf in light oak wood. It can be hung on the wall by scarlet leather straps. The wooden slats draw waves that seem to make them malleable by pulling the straps.
Andrew Kudless is an American Designer and Architect based in San Francisco who currently works in the studio Matsys. In his work, he invests very different scales with creations ranging from the most functional to the most experimental. We can tell that from his works consisting of walls and steel structures covered with clusters of synthetic foam or its wooden lamps with alveolar forms.
Created all the way back in 2012, the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades collection is a set of unique furniture objects that have counted with the cooperation of renowned designers to envision and creative, functional and innovative furniture and objects.
Among some of the top objects that were created on this project, we can point to some examples such as the “Anemona” table by Atelier Biagetti, the ‘Ribbon Dance’ chair by Andre Fu, or even the “Cocoon swing chair” by the Campana Brothers.
From December 4-8, this newest piece along with its innovative technique will take place alongside a selection of other elements of the collection Objets Nomades. You can see it for yourself at the stand of Louis Vuitton Design Miami /.
