Art Wynwood art Fair exposes what works emerging artists and contemporary represented for galleries of various points of the globe. It is and international fair that brings together a lot of artists and enthusiasts about art.
The fair this year one more time was a hit! Without the slightest pretense of being Compared to a grand Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Wynwood 2015 made beautiful in its fourth edition.
The art show had 70 international galleries. Among the galleries it exposed there a Viena based gallery (currently is in Ian Burns´Moment Fragment exhibition), Erró and Mel Ramos represented the Austrian modernism from 1960s (one of the most important movements of the 20th century), they recriate artists like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring and Narrative Figuration (Jacques Monory). Other exciting galleries that were on the Art Wynwood this year: Scott Richards Contemporary Art, situated in San Francisco that went also to the London Art Fair and also Shine Artists and Cynthia Corbett Gallery, two galleries from London that really want to promote the modern and contemporary art.
The show was a succes and began on the 12th of February with a VIP night, you could enter but only with a VIP ticket. The baby sister to Art Miami also had some local galleries such as Damien Hirst, Botero, and Keith Herring, they for sure kept the novices occupied.
The most famous artwork at Art Wynwood was from the Waterhouse & Dodd Gallery out of New York, showcasing artist Jean François Rauzier’s photo collages of the numerous Wynwood Walls. Massive 58-by-98-inch murals collect the many walls throughout the neighborhood in what might best be compared to a photograph of Brazil’s notorious favelas.
We let you appreciate some pictures of the event in case you didn´t had a chance to go there. This is, for sure, one of the best art shows in Miami!
