ABOUT THE SHOW
Leading international galleries show work from masters of Modern and contemporary art as well as pieces by newly emerging stars. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs, films, and editioned works of the highest quality are displayed in the main exhibition hall, while ambitious artworks and performances become part of the landscape at nearby beaches, Collins Park and SoundScape Park.
Nine show sectors offer a diverse collection of artworks, including pieces by established artists and newly emerging artists, curated projects, site-specific experiential work, film and video.
Art Basel’s stimulating program of talks and panel discussions allow audiences to deepen their knowledge of artistic practice, the international art world, and the art market.
Galleries from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and Africa make up the impressive list of participants at the show in Miami Beach.
Public, Video and Film sectors are curated from works proposed by the galleries and selected by internationally renowned curators with expertise in each sector’s domain.
Art Basel collaborates with a supportive group of corporate partners who share their goal of creating an international meeting place for the artworld.
With its world-class art museums and private collections, plus its vibrant gallery scene, Miami Beach provides its visitors a wealth of opportunities to view some of the finest examples of Modern and contemporary art. Many of Miami’s internationally renowned institutions offer special exhibits to coincide with Art Basel.
