The AD 100 – The Rug Company in Miami Design District
One of the AD 100 – the Rug Company in Miami Design District, celebrates 15 years of creative collaboration between Paul Smith and The Rug Company. Showcasing rugs from his new collection, as well as iconic designs from previous collections, it pays homage to a designer renowned for creating timeless designs that perfectly marry traditional craft with British eccentricity and wit.
The Rug Company is the collaborative effort of 1,662 people. From the spinners and weavers, to the people who deliver and lay the finished rug, the result of all these diverse and individual contributions is a hand-knotted rug that will last for generations.
“We understand the importance of selecting the right rug for each room and we appreciated that this is a process – a narrative – that will take time and can’t be hurried“. Christopher & Suzanne Sharp
They are proud to support the local craftsmanship and please to champion a beautiful heritage. Nepal’s long and proud tradition of weaving enables Rug Company to create rugs of unparalleled quality and beauty. The Rug Company is not in the AD 100 for no reason: is the biggest importer of rugs from Nepal, making a vital contribution to the Nepalese economy and providing sustainable employment to a large number of people.
In Miami you can find their showroom in the follow address:
