Every year Miami receives fairs and events dedicated to design mostly in miami design district. They are extremely important to the city and their state of art because they bring a vast public and this events are also trend setters.
During the year there are some design events happening all over the city and specifically in the Miami Design District. A district totally design inspired.
Maison & Objet its a design fair that happens in Paris originally (in January and September) but now there is also a Maison & Objet Americas. This event aims to be annual and also a platform for the North and South American trade and visitors. This event will gather 200 brands and they will represent the success of the principal Maison & Objet Paris.
To prepare the inaugural session of Maison & Objet Americas that will happen in May their will be a series of networking events in strategic cities in the North and South America. The first reunion of this kind happened on October 18th and gathered together interior designers, critics and decorators in Mexico. It also happened on the 5th of November in Sao Paulo and on the 8th of November in Rio de Janeiro.
Design Miami & Art Basel
These to events often are at the same time and involve a lot of preparation because they are two huge design events in Miami Beach.

In Design Miami there is a VIP opening in the first day of December. It is the global forum for design and receive international known brands and interior designers such as: RO/LU studio, Boca do Lobo, Delightfull, Emmett Moore, Cristina Grajales Gallery; these are some of the brands and galleries who were present at Design Miami 2014.
Art Basel (December 3-6, 2015) Miami Beach, this art show presents artwork from all over the world. There are more than 250 galleries represented there and the visitors are over 70,000 each year and amongst them there are some personalities who put all the focus on Miami Beach on this time of the year.
