How do you stand out if you’re new to a neighborhood brimming with designer shops? If you’re Pucci, you make your presence known by covering the façade of your new Miami Design District boutique with one of your most iconic prints.
Emilio Pucci just opened a new 1,600-square-foot store in Miami’s Design District. Located at 140 NE 39th Street, this is Pucci’s third store in Florida — with established shops already in Palm Beach and Aventura

The Torre—originally designed in 1966 and used as a flooring element in Pucci’s Joseph Dirand-designed stores—appears painted in black and white on colossal blocks over the store’s entrance. If the artsy exterior, geometric and striking in size, wasn’t enough of a nod to the area’s vibrant design scene, there’s a second-floor vitrine with a light-up marquee that spells out Pucci, which overlooks the street below.
Pucci’s heritage may be what takes prominence outside but what’s inside the boutique celebrates all that’s current. Glowing white walls serve as backdrop for Pucci’s spring 2015 collection as well as a wide assortment of swimwear for both men and women and resort pieces from Emilio Pucci’s collaboration with London-based Orlebar Brown, makers of fashionable beach basics.
Lest you forget where you’re shopping, find the register sitting atop a pinkish Travertine stone (which is a key element of newer Pucci boutiques around the globe) and Cappellini-produced, Pucci-upholstered armchairs—a special touch just for the Miami Design District.
