Design Miami/ Basel is coming back up in December and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring you the best view into the event. Design Miami/ is a major accolade gallery of design artwork display, gathering artists and enthusiasts from all around the globe.
Design Miami/ prides itself on being “more than a marketplace” for luxury design, it’s also where the best galleries gather together to share the wonderful experience they offer us. Their programs include both mindful, cultural events, as well as first hand trade opportunities, leading to the best collaborations between designers and manufacturers.
This week Miami Design Agenda will be covering Design Miami/ 2017, whose organizers seek to “not only satisfy the demand for a high-end design fair, but also to broaden awareness of modern and contemporary design, fuel the market for collectible design, and provide an exciting yet accessible destination” for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This year, we know some of the things the developers of Design Miami/ have in store for us.
One is a series of stunning ceramic vases named “losanges” by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec:
Another project we’ve been allowed a sneak-peek at is Ma Yansong and her MAD Architects’s “MAD Martian“, who was asked by Gallery ALL and Miami Design/ to put together a collection inspired by the Red Planet. Here is some of the spectacular luxury design artwork that they created:
